Throughout the year we have various social events. Our annual fall and spring registers, Banksy and Electric Zoo, receive consistent and high praise as some of the best parties of the year. Additionally, with formal invites, exchanges, mixers, date dashes and more each semester, there will be more than enough going on almost every week.
Our chapter proudly maintains the highest average GPA of all fraternities at USC, and has done so consistently for the past three semesters. It is our relentless pursuit of exceeding in academics that allows us to land internships at companies such as Spotify, SpaceX, and Bank of America.
USC Sammy is committed to philanthropy, whether its through weekly shelter-dog walks, charity 5k's, or planning our very own philanthropic events. Our Spring philanthropy, StreetPong, helped generate funds for the Sigma Alpha Mu national philanthropy, The Judy Fund, aiming to help those with Alzheimer's.
For over one hundred years, Sigma Alpha Mu has held its heritage of Judaism. Much of our chapter participates in weekly events at Chabad and Hillel, as well as biannual trips to Israel on Birthright. Although Sigma Alpha Mu was founded as a Jewish fraternity, we welcome and respect members of all religious faiths.
Whether it's through creating a March Madness bracket, watching the Super Bowl, or just enjoying a sunny Saturday afternoon, our brotherhood is always coming up with fun events to savor our time in college, foster the bonds we have formed, and bring our chapter closer together.
Our chapter continues to stay active on campus, with over 76% of our members participating in on-campus organizations, such as University Student Government, USC Racing, and USC Lava Lab. These clubs empower them to run as Senators, build full-size race cars, and engage in tech startup incubators, respectively.
